All couples planning to marry in Columbus, Ohio are required to obtain a Marriage Certificate, no blood test or waiting period required. Most marriage license centers only accept cash. If you obtain your marriage license in Franklin County, either the bride or groom must reside in Franklin county. Licenses in Franklin County are only available at the courthouse. Be sure to call ahead and get specific information about fees and the type of identification required.
