Your Columbus Wedding Ceremony

Your ceremony will be perfect. Whether it takes place in a church, temple, sanctuary, courthouse, chapel, or in the wide outdoors, the most important thing about the entire day is marrying the love of your life and the vows you will take on that day. This is what makes it simply perfect -- despite anything else that occurs.

Wedding ceremonies are uniquely personal. Often, brides will combine traditions from their faith with special touches unique to their relationship. One way this is accomplished is with a special ceremony reading. We assembled some of the best ceremony readings for you. Read them here.

The Guest Book
Years ago, the wedding guest book was essential as a written record of the witnesses to a wedding. Today, it serves more as a cherished keepsake forthe bride and groom.

Many brides place their traditional guest books on a table at the ceremony location so guests may sign it as they come in. Modern couples often opt for a mat signing board with their photo in it. While still other couples are choosing elaborate scrapbooks for their guests contribute to during the reception.

Music for the Ceremony
Be sure to discuss your musical selections with clergyman performing the ceremony. In some churches, temples, or synagogues, he or she must approve the selections before they can be used.

Arrange for appropriate sound systems and/or equipment. If you have recorded music, find out if you need a cassette tape or a CD. Many churches only have a cassette player. If you have live music, you may have to request microphones, music stands, etc.

Caution! If you have a song that must be cued up on cassette, make SURE it's cued properly. We heard a story of a local wedding where the bride wanted "From this Moment" to be played during the unity candle lighting. Unfortunately, the tape wasn't cued properly and the final words from the previous song played first --- Shania Twain singing, "Don't be Stupid!"
